Cryogenyl
Cryogenyl is a mixture of Menthyl PCA, Octyldodecyl PCA and Butylene Glycol. When used in aqueous formulations, Cryogenyl can provide a fresh, cooling sensation to the skin.
UCIB (part of The Solabia Group) specialises in the research and development of innovative chemical active ingredients, and is particularly strong in the area of L-PCA (L-Pyrrolidone Carboxylic Acid) and its derivatives. L-PCA is part of the skin's Natural Moisturising Factor (NMF) and has moisturising and hydrating properties. L-PCA is obtained by the cyclisation of the L-Glutamic Acid, an amino acid of plant origin. Derivatives of L-PCA also have other benefits.
Cryogenyl is a mixture of Menthyl PCA, Octyldodecyl PCA and Butylene Glycol. When used in aqueous formulations, Cryogenyl can provide a fresh, cooling sensation to the skin. Cryogenyl can also help to strengthen the barrier function of the skin by promoting epidermal lipid synthesis, and thus improving cell cohesion.
