Pidolidone Crystal

Pidolidone Crystal is L-PCA, obtained by cyclisation of Glutamic Acid, an amino acid of plant origin. Pidolidone Crystal is able to provide both immediate and long lasting hydration.

Pidolidone Crystal is L-PCA, obtained by cyclisation of Glutamic Acid, an amino acid of plant origin. L-PCA is naturally present in the skin. It is a link in the energy cycle (Krebs cycle), the protein pool (precursor of Proline and Hydroxyproline) and skin hydration (NMF). Pidolidone Crystal is able to provide both immediate hydration, due to being highly hygroscopic, and long lasting hydration, due to being a precursor to Proline.
