Kobopearl Perpetual IO VioletOrange-11S2
Kobopearl Perpetual IO VioletOrange-11S2 is a pearlescent pigment that has been surface treated with Kobo's 11S (Triethoxy Caprylylsilane) treatment. It demonstrates colour travel (predominant colour is violet with colour travel to orange). The particle size is 30-120 microns.
Kobopearl Perpetual IO VioletOrange-11S2 is a pearlescent pigment that demonstrates colour travel (predominant colour is violet with colour travel to orange). The particle size is 30-120 microns. The colour travel is due to a process of coating a synthetic mica substrate with Titanium Dioxide and Iron Oxide. Synthetic mica flakes have a pure white colour - this results in cleaner, higher colour intensity pearlescent pigments compared to ones based on natural mica.
Kobopearl Perpetual IO VioletOrange-11S2 is surface treated with Kobo's 11S (Triethoxy Caprylylsilane) treatment. 11S treatment forms a uniform, stable silane coating that greatly improves the dispersibility of powders in silicones such as cyclomethicones. Most silicone treatments are not suitable for dispersing powders in organic oils; however, due to the caprylyl groups, 11S treated powders are easy to disperse in esters and hydrocarbons as well as silicones. 11S treatment is stable even at pH 3, has no residual methanol and has zero hydrogen potential.
