Kobopearl Perpetual IO VioletOrange-I2
Kobopearl Perpetual IO VioletOrange-I2 is a pearlescent pigment that has been surface treated with Kobo's patented ITT (Isopropyl Titanium Triisostearate) treatment. It demonstrates colour travel (predominant colour is violet with colour travel to orange). The particle size is 30-120 microns.
Kobopearl Perpetual IO VioletOrange-I2 is a pearlescent pigment that demonstrates colour travel (predominant colour is violet with colour travel to orange). The particle size is 30-120 microns. The colour travel is due to a process of coating a synthetic mica substrate with Titanium Dioxide and Iron Oxide. Synthetic mica flakes have a pure white colour - this results in cleaner, higher colour intensity pearlescent pigments compared to ones based on natural mica.
Kobopearl Perpetual IO VioletOrange-I2 is surface treated with Kobo's patented ITT (Isopropyl Titanium Triisostearate) treatment. ITT treatment forms a uniform coating of lipophilic isostearate groups, which greatly improves the dispersibility of powders in various organic vehicles such as esters, natural oils and hydrocarbons. ITT treatment reduces oil absorption of powders so they can be used at substantially higher loading in formulations without causing a dramatic viscosity increase. ITT treatment has good skin affinity due to the isostearate surface groups, making the treated powders suitable for use in non-greasy cream-to-powders, lipsticks, liquid foundations, eye shadows, sun care formulations, etc.
