Aminol LGDS

Aminol LGDS is a non-ionic, liquid crystal oil-in-water emulsifier, which helps formulations to integrate into the stratum corneum and carry their efficacy to deeper layers of the skin. Panel testing suggests that using Aminol LGDS leads to increased skin softness, decreased greasiness and superior moisturisation.

Aminol LGDS is a non-ionic, liquid crystal oil-in-water emulsifier. Its ability to aid in forming liquid crystal structures comes from its structural similarity to ceramides, which are the main lipid components of the stratum corneum of the epidermis of human skin. This similarity helps the formulation integrate into the stratum corneum and carry its efficacy to deeper layers of the skin. Panel testing suggests that using Aminol LGDS leads to increased skin softness, decreased greasiness and superior moisturisation, the latter of which is supported by in vivo study results.

Aminol LGDS can help to build viscosity (leave for 24 hours for the viscosity to develop). It has synergistic effects when used with Romol AFSK.
