Mfsorb 502

MFSorb 502, Avobenzone, is an oil soluble UV filter.

Avobenzone is a strong and efficient UVA absorber suitable for use in sun protection products. For optimal stability it should be combined with a photostabiliser, for example MFSorb 509 (BEMT).
It is provided as a white to yellow powder, which must be completely solubilised in order to remain stable in formulations.
