D-Glycargine
Aqueous solution of Arginine PCA which fights against glycation (a principle cause of ageing) to help to recover skin firmness. It has both a preventive action (anti-glycation potential) and curative action (de-glycation) to help maintain the skin’s biomechanical properties. D-glycargine also helps to combat glycation-induced yellowing.
D-Glycargine is an aqueous solution of Arginine PCA, an ester formed from Arginine and L-PCA. L-PCA is a physiological molecule which is part of the skin’s Natural Moisturising Factor. D-Glycargine is a novel anti-ageing ingredient which fights against glycation to help to recover skin firmness. It offers both a preventive action (anti-glycation potential) and curative action (de-glycation) to help maintain the skin’s biomechanical properties.
Glycation is a spontaneous, natural chemical reaction which leads to skin ageing. The skin has no self-defence system for fighting against glycation so D-Glycargine offers a new anti-ageing possibility.
Supporting data:
- In vivo: recovery of facial skin firmness
- In vivo: lightening, ‘de-yellowing’ effect
- Ex vivo:
- Preventive action: Protection of the proteins and against yellowing effect
- Curative action: Repair of glycated proteins and correction of yellowing effect
