Hectogel-AK

An oil phase thickener, composed of treated hectorite clay dispersed in C15-19 Alkane.

The Hectogel series are formed through the treatment of hectorite clay with Dimethyl Di-hydrogenated alkyl Ammonium Chloride (DDAC) and the chemical activator Propylene Carbonate, dispersed in a range of oils.

They form thixotropic gels by exhibiting a "house of cards" structure. Hectogels increase viscosity, enhance formulation stability, provide suspension and improve spreadability of cosmetic formulations.

Hectogel-AK is disperes in C15-19 Alkane.
