A 100% plant derived preservative booster that can be used to minimise the required level of preservatives by showing antimicrobial synergy with other alternative preservatives. It is water-soluble, odourless, a clear liquid, and compatible across a broad pH range.

Hinokitiol (β- thujaplicin) is an important component of the oil extracted from hinoki-tree (Chamaecyparis obtuse, hinoki cypress) which has excellent anti-microbial properties.
