EA-209 is a polymer microsphere with an average particle size of 10 microns, oil absorption 60 g/100g and refractive index 1.51. It is heat sensitive and will gel if heated above 70 °C.
EA-209 is a polymer microsphere with an average particle size of 10 microns, oil absorption 60 g/100g and refractive index 1.51. It has a wide particle size distribution to give a good soft focus (optical blurring) effect. It is heat sensitive and will gel if heated above 70 °C. Due to their size and shape, microspheres offer a ball-bearing effect which imparts a silky texture, increased pay-off and enhanced slip. Microspheres are also able to offer a soft focus effect by scattering light to diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles whilst still letting enough light through to give a natural appearance on the skin.
