MST-547-FS is a polymer microsphere that has been surface treated with Kobo's FS (Fluoro Silane) treatment. MST-547-FS has an average particle size of 4 microns and oil absorption 47 g/100g. Due to their size and shape, microspheres offer a ball-bearing effect which imparts a silky texture, increased pay-off and enhanced slip. FS treatment is an innovative, environmentally agreeable Fluoro Silane treatment that renders powders both hydrophobic and lipophobic. FS treated powders are highly suitable for dry water foundations and pressed powders. This can be shown in pressed powders where both water droplets and oil droplets will bead (non-wetting) on the surface. FS treatment provides excellent spreading and adhesion to the skin. FS treatment can also help to prevent agglomeration of powders in fine lines and wrinkles.
