BTD-TTB2

BTD-TTB2 is pigmentary, anatase Titanium Dioxide that has been surface treated with Kobo's patented TTB hybrid treatment.

The TTB treatment combines the hydrophobic (but not very lipophilic) properties of a silicone treatment with the lipophilic (but not particularly hydrophobic) ITT titanate treatment. This hybrid treatment therefore provides a coating that is both hydrophobic and lipophilic, making treated powders readily dispersible in both silicones and organic esters and hydrocarbons. TTB treatment has better affinity for the skin compared to silicone treatments, and it is very stable over a wide pH range. TTB treated powders exhibit water resistance which can improve the wear of powders, anhydrous formulations and water-in-oil emulsions.
