BBO-11S2

BBO-11S2 is Black Iron Oxide that has been surface treated with Kobo's 11S (Triethoxy Caprylylsilane) treatment.

The 11S treatment forms a uniform, stable silane coating that greatly improves the dispersibility of powders in silicones such as cyclomethicones. Most silicone treatments are not suitable for dispersing powders in organic oils; however, due to the caprylyl groups, 11S treated powders are easy to disperse in esters and hydrocarbons as well as silicones. 11S treatment is stable even at pH 3, has no residual methanol and has zero hydrogen potential.
