KSG-16
KSG-16 is a non-emulsifying silicone gel that can thicken the oil phase of formulations and provide a mattifying effect as well as a soft, silky feel. KSG-16 contains 20-30% cross-linked polymer in Dimethicone (6 centistoke).
Shin-Etsu's KSG series consists of cross-linked silicone polymers that are combined with a silicone fluid or oil to form a gel. These silicone gels can be used as thickening agents for the oil phase of formulations, which can help with water-in-oil emulsion stability. KSG-16 is a non-emulsifying silicone gel that contains a cross-linked silicone with a 3-dimensional network structure. KSG-16 can thicken the oil phase of formulations and provide a mattifying effect as well as a soft, silky feel. KSG-16 contains 20-30% cross-linked polymer in Dimethicone (6 centistoke) and has a refractive index of 1.400 (at 25 °C).
