KF-96A-1cs is a linear, volatile silicone fluid with a viscosity of 1.0 mm2/s (at 25 °C), specific gravity 0.818 (at 25 °C), refractive index 1.382 (at 25 °C), boiling point 153 °C and flash point 37 °C.

Shin-Etsu produces a line of high-purity silicone fluids with different degrees of volatility. Due to their low surface tension, these fluids spread easily on the skin and don't feel greasy.
