KSG-240

KSG-240 is a polyether modified, emulsifying silicone gel that functions as a water-in-silicone emulsifier. KSG-240 contains 15-25% cross-linked polymer in Cyclopentasiloxane.

Shin-Etsu's KSG series consists of cross-linked silicone polymers that are combined with a silicone fluid or oil to form a gel. These silicone gels can be used as thickening agents for the oil phase, which can help with water-in-oil emulsion stability. Products containing a hydrophilic group in the cross-linking portion can also be used as water-in-oil emulsifiers to produce stable emulsions. KSG-240 is a polyether modified, emulsifying silicone gel that functions as a water-in-silicone emulsifier. It can be used to prepare high internal phase water-in-silicone creams. KSG-240 contains 15-25% cross-linked polymer in Cyclopentasiloxane and has a refractive index of 1.400 (at 25 °C).
