KSG-340
KSG-340 is a polyether modified, emulsifying silicone gel that functions as a water-in-oil emulsifier where the oil phase is a hydrocarbon oil. KSG-340 contains 25-35% cross-linked polymer in Squalane.
Shin-Etsu's KSG series consists of cross-linked silicone polymers that are combined with a silicone fluid or oil to form a gel. These silicone gels can be used as thickening agents for the oil phase, which can help with water-in-oil emulsion stability. Products containing a hydrophilic group in the cross-linking portion can also be used as water-in-oil emulsifiers to produce stable emulsions. KSG-340 is a polyether modified, emulsifying silicone gel that contains hydrocarbon-based alkyl branching. KSG-340 functions as a water-in-oil emulsifier where the oil phase is a hydrocarbon oil. It can be used to prepare high internal phase water-in-oil creams, and can create formulations that are easy to apply and spread on the skin. KSG-340 contains 25-35% cross-linked polymer in Squalane and has a refractive index of 1.445 (at 25 °C).
