KSG-1610
KSG-1610 is a non-emulsifying silicone gel that can thicken the oil phase of formulations and provide a mattifying effect as well as a smooth, silky feel. KSG-1610 contains 15-20% cross-linked polymer in Methyl Trimethicone.
Shin-Etsu's KSG series consists of cross-linked silicone polymers that are combined with a silicone fluid or oil to form a gel. These silicone gels can be used as thickening agents for the oil phase of formulations, which can help with water-in-oil emulsion stability. KSG-1610 is a non-emulsifying silicone gel that contains a cross-linked silicone with a 3-dimensional network structure. KSG-1610 can thicken the oil phase of formulations and provide a mattifying effect as well as a smooth, silky feel. KSG-1610 contains 15-20% cross-linked polymer in Methyl Trimethicone and has a refractive index of 1.389 (at 25 °C).
