KSG-43
KSG-43 is a non-emulsifying silicone gel that is compatible with hydrocarbon oils. KSG-43 can be used improve the structural viscosity and stability of formulations. KSG-43 contains 25-35% cross-linked polymer in Triethylhexanoin.
Shin-Etsu's KSG series consists of cross-linked silicone polymers that are combined with a silicone fluid or oil to form a gel. These silicone gels can be used as thickening agents for the oil phase of formulations, which can help with water-in-oil emulsion stability. KSG-43 is a non-emulsifying silicone gel that contains a cross-linked silicone with a 3-dimensional network structure. The cross-linked polymer in KSG-43 has hydrocarbon-based alkyl branching which makes the gel more compatible with hydrocarbon oils. KSG-43 can be used to create formulations that have a smooth feel and are easy to apply and spread on the skin. It can be used to improve the structural viscosity and stability of water-in-oil and oil-in-water emulsions, and anhydrous formulations. KSG-43 contains 25-35% cross-linked polymer in Triethylhexanoin and has a refractive index of 1.442 (at 25 °C).
