KSG-045Z
KSG-045Z is a non-emulsifying silicone gel that is compatible with both silicone and hydrocarbon oils. KSG-045Z can be used to improve the structural viscosity and stability of formulations. KSG-045Z contains 15-25% cross-linked polymer in Cyclopentasiloxane.
Shin-Etsu's KSG series consists of cross-linked silicone polymers that are combined with a silicone fluid or oil to form a gel. These silicone gels can be used as thickening agents for the oil phase of formulations, which can help with water-in-oil emulsion stability. KSG-045Z is a non-emulsifying silicone gel that contains a cross-linked silicone with a 3-dimensional network structure. The cross-linked polymer in KSG-045Z has both silicone branching and hydrocarbon-based alkyl branching which makes the gel compatible with both silicone and hydrocarbon oils. KSG-045Z can be used to improve the structural viscosity and stability of water-in-oil and oil-in-water emulsions, and anhydrous formulations. KSG-045Z contains 15-25% cross-linked polymer in Cyclopentasiloxane and has a refractive index of 1.401 (at 25 °C).
Chemical Description: Cyclopentasiloxane, Lauryl Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone/Bis-Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer
