FAS50R6SI
FAS50R6SI is a dispersion containing 50% surface treated Red 6 Lake in volatile silicones and silicone emulsifiers.
Kobo's pigmentary dispersions are widely used in colour cosmetics due to their multiple benefits over dry pigment powders. Dry pigments tend to aggregate in formulations which can affect the color strength, gloss and opacity. The colour intensity and opacity are usually highest when the aggregate particle size is closest to the primary particle size. The pigments in Kobo's pigmentary dispersions are surface treated to improve the ease of dispersion and stability. Kobo's pigmentary dispersions offer full colour development, improved gloss and ease of use.
FAS50R6SI is a dispersion containing 50% Red 6 Lake in volatile silicones and silicone emulsifiers. The pigments are surface treated with Kobo's 11S treatment prior to dispersion. 11S treatment forms a uniform, stable silane coating that greatly improves the dispersibility of powders in silicones. 11S treatment is stable even at pH 3, has no residual methanol and has zero hydrogen potential.
FAS dispersions are recommended for use in emulsions (e.g. liquid and cream foundation, concealer, mascara, blush) and may also be used in anhydrous formulations (e.g. lipstick, eyeshadow, concealer).
