INBP45R7C
INBP45R7C is a dispersion containing 45% surface treated Red 7 Lake in a blend of esters.
Kobo's pigmentary dispersions are widely used in colour cosmetics due to their multiple benefits over dry pigment powders. Dry pigments tend to aggregate in formulations which can affect the color strength, gloss and opacity. The colour intensity and opacity are usually highest when the aggregate particle size is closest to the primary particle size. The pigments in Kobo's pigmentary dispersions are surface treated to improve the ease of dispersion and stability. Kobo's pigmentary dispersions offer full colour development, improved gloss and ease of use.
INBP45R7C is a dispersion containing 45% Red 7 Lake in a blend of esters. The pigments are surface treated with Kobo's patented ITT (Isopropyl Titanium Triisostearate) treatment prior to dispersion. ITT treatment forms a uniform coating of lipophilic isostearate groups, which greatly improves the dispersibility of powders in various organic oils. ITT treatment reduces oil absorption of powders so they can be used at substantially higher loading in formulations without causing a dramatic viscosity increase. ITT treatment has good skin affinity due to the isostearate surface groups.
INBP dispersions are recommended for use in anhydrous formulations (e.g. solid sticks such as lipstick, and blush) and may also be used in emulsions (e.g. liquid and cream foundation).
