Casid HSA is an efficient, thixotropic viscosity builder that will gel hydrocarbons, many esters, and certain silicones. It has a higher melting point than Stearic Acid. Salts of Casid HSA can also be formed in situ for use as primary oil-in-water emulsifiers. Casid HSA is recommended for use in pigmented anhydrous lip gels, anti-perspirants, cosmetic pencils, hair styling waxes, creams, and lotions.
